Most recent assignment is to oversee and manage the real estate acquisitions and growth for CVS Corp in Southern California. CVS is the second largest retailer in the United States. Responsible for locating, acquiring, entitling, and constructing new stores for CVS. Average transaction process is 3-4 years.
Mr. Isdaner spent seven years as President and Chief Operating Officer of One World Live, a direct marketing company based in Southern California. This assignment was a turnaround of a VC funded(1999 with 27M) internet start up. Mr. Isdaner was hired at the company as a consultant in October 2000 and became their President and COO in January 2001. Upon his arrival the company had exhausted 24M of the original 27M funded and had a burn rate of 1.1M per month. No additional monies were raised and the company was profitable 9 months later in September 2001. Mr. Isdaner retains a 20% interest in the surviving company.
Mr. Isdaner was hired in response to a national search firm with a need to replace the retiring President, CEO of Global Industries after a twenty-five year career. Global Industries is a privately held billion dollar manufacturer and distributor of chairs, desks and files to the mid market. An international firm with a daily manufacturing volume of 25,000 chairs with plants in Canada,England, Israel, Brazil and Malaysia. It has 19 distribution centers strategically located throughout the United States serving the dealer community. 50% of Global's sales are to Office Depot and Staples. Global manufacturers in excess of 80% of their seating needs. Guided this successful enterprise with increased profits (in excess of 35%) along with a 20% growth in revenue while industry had been experiencing single digit increases.
Prior experiences include an exceptionally strong and successful history in the Retail Automotive Industry. Served as CEO and Acting Chairman of the Board of Murray's Discount Auto Stores, Inc. Starting in operations on a part-time basis with The Pep Boys while a student at the Wharton School of Business, and eventually appointed to Executive Vice President, Member of the Board of Directors, and COO. With both of these organizations, guided them into significantly more profitability and dominance in the marketplace despite periodic recessions, highly competitive adversaries, and the dynamics of Wall Street.
