Gary Weinhouse serves as Co-Founder & Managing Director of W Capital Partners, LLC (www.wcapitalpartners.com), a boutique consulting firm with offices in Santa Monica and Santa Barbara. W Capital Partners specializes in interim senior management, strategic planning, turnaround/crisis management, corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, operations improvement, franchise consulting and capital raising.
As Managing Director of W Capital Partners, Gary provides leadership in the areas of operations, growth, strategy, finance and corporate development. Gary has served as CEO, President, CRO, COO, CFO and General Counsel for a variety of Southern California companies, and specializes in developing and implementing operational, legal and financial restructuring plans and guiding distressed organizations through a myriad of business issues. Gary's skills in inspiring people towards a vision and motivating previously fragmented management groups, have resulted in substantial improvements to operating performance and financial stability in many businesses. His experience and expertise cut across a wide range of service areas and industry sectors, and he is highly effective in isolating and improving or eliminating ineffective business units.
Gary serves as President of Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST) (www.autismtherapies.com), a leading provider of autism services. AST delivers highly effective services to infants, children, adolescents, and adults with autism. The company’s programs are based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) - the only widely-accepted, data-supported method for treating autism – and are supervised by the most highly qualified clinical staff available. AST’s intensive family-focused, play-based approach facilitates rapid progress and relies heavily on natural home routines and hands-on parental participation to achieve rapid and continuous improvement. The company has six offices located in the Greater Los Angeles Area, Orange County, San Diego County, San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, the Inland Empire, Palm Springs, and Northern California.
Gary served as CEO & CRO of Liens, LLC (www.liensforwc.com), a leading provider of financial collection services in the health care space. In this capacity, Gary was hired by a prominent private equity group to implement a turnaround plan, and ultimately to lead a sale of company assets.
Gary served as CEO of California Cryobank, Inc. (www.cryobank.com), one of the largest and most prominent reproductive tissue banks in the world, whose subsidiaries include Family Cord (www.familycord.com), an umbilical cord blood processing and storage company, and California Cryobank Stem Cell Services (www.stemcellservices.com), a leading provider of professional services to stem cell transplant centers and their patients.
Gary served as interim COO/CFO/EVP Legal Affairs for Al & Ed's Autosound (www.al-eds.com), a private company specializing in mobile electronics, with 27 retail locations throughout Southern California. In this capacity, Gary led the legal, finance, operations and human resource departments of the company, and was responsible for converting the company from corporate owned, to entirely franchised outlets, implementing and managing the company's franchise initiatives, and returning the company to financial profitability and operational efficiency.
As COO/CFO and Secretary of eteamz.com, Inc (www.eteamz.com), and one of its original founding members, Gary wrote eteamz' business plan, won the UCLA Anderson School Annual Business Plan Competition, successfully led the company through three rounds of venture capital and angel funding, grew the value of the company through acquisitions and strategic relationships, and ultimately helped negotiate and finalize the company's acquisition by the Active Network. Prior to launching eteamz, Gary served as Director of Operations and In House Counsel for Myo Diagnostics, Inc. (MPR Health Systems), a publicly registered medical diagnostic company, where he was responsible for strategic planning, operations, finance and legal affairs. Gary's prior experience also includes the practice of business, corporate, transactional and family law as well as financial consulting.
Gary graduated with High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles (College Honors Graduate) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA, a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from Loyola Law School, and a Financial Consulting (PFP) professional designation from UCLA. Gary is a member of the California State Bar (1993) and is licensed to practice in federal and California state courts.
Gary is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) Malibu Chapter (and serves on its Board), Gary serves on the Board of Trustees of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (www.jbbbsla.org), is an active member of its Executive Committee, and has been a Big Brother for over twenty years.
